Who sponsors West Central?
West Central Christian Service Camp is sponsored by 40-45 independent Christian Churches in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. In 2009, we had over 600 children, grades K-12, attend a session of camp during the summer. Though sponsored by Christian Churches, our camp is open to children of ALL faiths. We are governed by a Board of Directors selected from several of our member churches. The camp is run by full-time camp managers, Tom and Duonna Worstell, who live on the premises year round.
Besides the 9 summer sessions for the children, we sponsor or host retreats and seminars for adults in the "off season" (Sept-April). We also make our facilities available for other churches and groups to rent during the fall and winter months.
